I have done the step "Close Income/Expense Acct" from the Maintenance menu yet when I try to close the current fiscal year I cannot proceed because it wants me to run that step. Now when I go into "Close Income/Expense Acct" it tells me that it has been done for the current fiscal year. I seem to be at an impass... please tell me what I am missing.

Hi, Patti,

Please ensure that the starting Department field is 'blank' and the ending Department field has as many z's as can be typed in the field. It may be that the previous criteria didn't capture and close all departments.

Does the function also tell you to print the posting journal and batch status report?

If you have other questions, please let us know both the version and release date of GL you are using. You can get this information by selecting Help | About from the main menu and noting the version code and release date in parentheses to the right of the version code.

I had selected the starting and ending departments and so leaving them blank and zzz worked.
