We have many parts setup in our system and would like to remove these part numbers without losing any history. What would be the best method of doing this.

Why don't you make them inactive? They won't appear on grids. But their history will still be there.

Deleting is not an option if you want to preserve history.

Hi,

Edit the item and, on the first tab that displays, uncheck the 'Active' field. This will make the item inactive.

I have tried this but the item still shows up on the items list in the Purchasing, Inventory modules. I would like to remove it completely.
