Hey Everybody,

Is it possible to view parts of an item (BoM data) from OE? Currently if a customer calls to order a part from existing whole unit, we have to go to Inventory and look up the BoM and then go back to OE to enter an order. Is there a simpler way to do this all from one module?

Hi Lucas,

It is not possible to look up the component items of a BoM master item directly from OE, using the standard functions available. You need to be in Inventory to look at the bill of materials list or print the report from there.

Or if you have Adagio GridView, you could create a custom workspace that can be loaded from the Inquiries menu within OE and list the Bill of Materials master and associated component items.

Do you happen to use the Adagio Bill of Materials add-on? I can recommend a feature suggestion to load BoM inquiry from OE if the add-on is installed.
