Hi All,

I'm trying to install Crystal Reports for Adagio (actually reinstall) on our server.

It keeps looking for the Adagio.ssi file in H:\Softrak\data\. The file in question is in P:\Softrak\data\.

A while back we use to have an H:\ that was a mirror image of the P:\, but the H:\ is no longer there. All of our Adagio modules are on the P:\.

What would be telling Crystal Reports to look in the H:\ for Adagio.ssi during the install? I set the install directory to P:\.

Thanks!

Hi, Acrylon,

I'm a little unclear when you say it keeps looking for the Adagio.ssi file in H:\Softrak\data during the install. The install doesn't look for the adagio.ssi file at all.

The destination directory during the installation should be to the same network drive that all other Adagio modules are installed on (eg. p:\Softrak\RPWIN). This is where the Adagio component of the installation is to be installed.

The report tables drive defaults to the same drive as the your other Adagio modules. It should reflect the drive that the \QRASP folder resides on the server.

If you've moved where the data is being stored (eg. from H to P) and every time you go to create a new report it's looking for the adagio.ssi on H, then it's possible you've set a default Database Source Defaults data directory under File | Options in Crystal. Change this to P. The adagio.ssi file and the zzglob.xxx files are always stored in your data directory (where 'zz' is the 2-character Adagio module identifier and 'xxx' is your 3-character data extension).

Howdy,

The initial install seems to complete fine, but then the install program starts another install.

The first sort of 'error' I get is that it is: "This software requires an additional 1K bytes free on the H: drive to install. Please remove any unneccesary files and try again." I have the option to quit, retry, and ignore. Of course the first two wouldn't solve my problem, so I press ignore.

The final error happens while the install is copying 'Crystal Support files". This is when it can't find H:\Softrak\Data\Adagio.ssi

I press OK, and the install doesn't work.

Thanks for the help so far!

The second install I was talking about is described as the 'Admin install'

Hi All,

I found something in the registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER>SOFTWARE>SEAGATE SOFTWARE>CRYSTAL REPORTS>NEWREPORT OPTIONS>REPORT DIRECTORY)that was still pointing to H:. I changed it to P:, and viola! Insatll success.

Have a great day!
