Hi,

Install G/L 8.1, A/P 8.1 and LanPak 9.0 on a Server 2003 ( Q drive) from station A. Then run workstation setup on station A. I have run the workstation on each modules, the setup for all modules can not been seem ( grey out).

Install all modules workstation setup for station B. Find the G/L and A/P. move all data from Station B's C drive to G network drive.

Here are the error from Station B when I try to open the company " Unable to write to Q:\softrak\system\menus.ini" Press "OK" second error " " Unable to write to Q:\softrak\apwin\apwin.ini"

Here are the error from Station A. When I try to open the company data it ask for the Currency and ??, I chose the path to the " Q:Softrak\system " would not accepted it. Then I point it to the Plus' g:\ASP " would not accept it. Aftward everytime I try to open the company, error " critical error 1305, unknown OS error accessing EZTASKS file "

Any idea of what I did wrong?

Thank for any help.

Users need administrator rights to install Adagio. Do you have sufficient rights on the network?

Hi Franky

I'm not sure what you are doing with this statement:

"Install all modules workstation setup for station B. Find the G/L and A/P. move all data from Station B's C drive to G network drive."

I hope you didn't do a full install from station B. Only a workstation install is necessary.

I am sure you should not have done a workstation install on Station A - you don't need to perform a workstation install from the station where the full install was performed. That's why all of the menu options were greyed out when you tried.

If I were you, I would start all over again, following proper procedures. Rename the \Softrak folder to \SoftrakOld, and begin from scratch.

Hi Steve,

Re:"Install all modules workstation setup for station B. Find the G/L and A/P. move all data from Station B's C drive to G network drive."

What I mean is going to g:\softrak\system\Wksetup. It show the modules AL and AP installed and I chose them all for workstation installation for station B.

Station A with Windows XP Pro which I used to install the Adagio AL, AP to the Ms Server 2003's Q drive. I did the workstation installation on station A, that's when the modules installed menu greyed out. That why I did the individual module workstation installation. Was I wrong to preform the workstation installation on station A? Or should I start the installation on the Server itself, not from the workstation?

We did run the sample data from the Adagio from station A and it work fine.

I will check if the user I used to login have the administrator right on Monday.

Hi franky

It was unnecessary to perform the workstation installation on station A, but unless you did something very unusual, there's no harm done other than wasting time.

You should never install Adagio from the server itself, so you're OK there.

My present source of confusion is why you mention a G: drive and a Q: drive. For Adagio to work properly, all workstations must be mapped to the network drive using the same drive letter.

Hi Steve,

Really appreciate your feed back. Everything seems to be working after giving the network rights to the users as Andrew suggested.
Once again thanks
