Exit out of Adagio. Using Windows Explorer, drill down to the folder your Adagio data is stored in.
Look for all files named APPOST*.xxx (where '*' refers to any character(s) after APPOST and 'xxx' refers to your data extension). If necessary, select to display details and look at the size of the files. If any are greater than zero bytes, right click and rename the file (perhaps to something like oldAPPOST*.xxx).
Go back into AP and try running the Year End again.
