Hi All,

We are having a problem with the expected shipdates when we do partial shipments. When we do a partial shipment on an order that is late, we change the shipdate so that it represents the day we are making that particular shipment. The problem occurs when there is still more to be shipped on that order. Since we have changed the shipdate, the remainder left to ship shows the new entry date - instead of the original expected shipdate. Is there anyway to make Adagio can default back to the original expected shipdate entered? And icing on the cake would be to also show the one or more actual shipdates - is this possible either?

Any help would be appreciated greatly!

Thanks,

Cam

Why not change the ship date on the invoice, rather than the order? I think that's possible (although someone may correct me.) You could see all the invoices processed against an order using Adagio GridView.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the speedy reply!

The problem is the date on the packing slip. The packing slip pulls the date from the expected ship date under the 'Header' tab, when we need it to pull the ship date on the packing slip from the 'actual ship date' on the 'Total' tab. I think this way we will be able to keep the expected ship date unchanged - so as to give us more accurate reports - and still have the correct date on the packing slip.

So is there anyway to change where the packing slip pulls information from?

Thanks!

Hi Cam,

Adagio specification files, such as packing slips, invoices, etc, are completely editable. You absolutely can change a field to print a different value.

From the Maintenance menu, pick Maintain Specifications. Open up your specification for printing packing slips. You will have a field that prints the shipment date.

Spec code E7 prints the Actual Shipment Date from the Totals screen. Code E9 prints the Expected Ship Date from the Header screen. From your description, it appears that your packing slip is using code E9 when you really would like E7.

The easiest way to change without losing any formatting is to:
- Click on the Shipment Date field to select the object
- Right-click and pick Properties
- At the top is the field code drop-down: choose E7 Shipment Date instead of E9 Expected Ship Date
- Make sure that the date format is what you want, and click OK
