Can anyone confirm that Adagio can read 4 decimal place ACCPAC+ books and that this support extends across all the modules. This appears to be the case from a perusal of the docs but I want to be sure.

Also is there an eta on V9 which I gather allows multi year history and the ability to add transactions without closing a set of books at year end.

Thanks.

Regards,
Charles

Hello Charles,

On the sales side, Adagio tracks to 6 decimal places. On the costing side, amounts are carried to two decimal places (or actually the number of decimals in the home currency).

Adagio Ledger V9.0 will ship in November 2007.

Thanks for the prompt reply Andrew.

I'm not sure I know the answer to my question though <grin>. So will Adagio have any issues with 4 decimal place ACCPAC+ books?

I think the answer is NO, so long as the home currency is set to 4 decimal places. Is this correct?

Hello Charles,

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be vague, but it really depends how you arrived at the 4 decimal place ACCPAC+. If you are using Softline's "Increased Decimal Place" product, then there may or may not be issues, depending on whether your primary interest was in the extra decimals of the costing or sales side of inventory control. Adagio does not handle the increased precision on the costing side.

If you just have a 4 decimal place home currency, then everything will be fine.

Why not download the evaluation, point it at a copy of your data and find out?

I have downloaded the eval. However, my presales questions were intended to help me decide whether it was worth installing.

Sounds like it might be.
