Is there a way to print a report that will tell you how many invoices or credit notes or orders were done in a specified period of time. One that will show just the date, inv.# and amount of invoice

For orders only, you could use the Order Action report and assign a date range for the list of orders.

For all 3 types of transactions, this would be a very easy report/inquiry you could create with Adagio GridView where you select the start and ending dates for your OrderEntry transactions and the list will be generated even faster than a report. You can export the transaction list to Excel or print the results, or simply have them on-screen for analysis.
