Hi,
Is there anything that could be done for managing expiry dates in Inventory control... we also use Adagio OE, SA and PO from Purple.
Thanks for your reply

By expiry dates, do you mean "best before" type dates? You could use one of the optional fields.

Hello Andrew,
Thnak you for getting back to me...I was on Holidays...just came back..
Yes, best before dates on Cosmetics for the shelf life...
I use purchase ordes form Purple Soft... does the optional fields apply to IC, OE an PO? so let's say i recieve 500 Facial toners... expiry dates: 20 03 2009, and 150 with expiry dates 20 06 2009, can i see in the inventory, these two Date separate batches of the same item, so when i do sell them through Order entry, i could choose one of those batches?
thanks
Andreas

You need to track Lots then.
You could call Terry at Island Micro Systems (250-286-0624). They have a pdt called SerialTracker. In the past Terry has suggested that it could be used to track Lots. But, not to put words into Terry's mouth, there may be some customization required. You should also confirm that they can track the Expiry date on a Lot.

Hi Andreas,
Sorry, but Adagio Inventory does not track lots. The only work around is to make the lot number (or part of it), part of the item number. I understand that this causes an explosion of item numbers, and can also make it difficult to figure out how many of an item you have in inventory. However, it's the only way of tracking lots within Adagio Inventory at the moment.
