I am trying to email an invoice and have encountered a problem. I have set up my new customer's email address under the customer tab/invoicing/email. I then go to email print option/and hit print, email, send to billing, email now. It gives me the message that 1 email address has been added to the queue without an email address. If I go into the queue, I can right click and send now. This brings up my Outlook Express, new message. I am allowed to enter an email address, but can't tab anywhere else or type anywhere else and I can't close anything down. I then have to hit CTRL, ALT, delete in order to get out of Adagio. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

The field that is used to generate the email address when emailing an invoice is the Email field under the Bill To tab in the invoice in Adagio Invoices. It is not the Email field under the Invoicing tab in the customer in Adagio Receivables. The Email field in Invoices is populated with the Email field from Receivables at the time the invoice is created, but after the invoice is created, the two Email fields are independent.

If you create an emailable invoice without an email address, you will need to edit the invoice in the queue and add an email address in order to be able to send it. You can't email an invoice without an email address.

First one to respond with the correct number of times I used the word "email" in this reply gets emailed an award!

OK, I just entered the email addy in the invoice itself under the bill to tab, and it worked. But this raises another question, what if I have to email 50 invoices for one customer? Would I have to re-enter the email address in each invoice under the bill to tab/email field? Seems like a lot of extra work. I assumed that if the email address was entered once under the customers invoicing options/email tab that it wouldn't have to be entered again. But if this is what I have to do to make it work, so be it. Thanks for your help!

Hello jkueber,

Invoices created AFTER you have added the e-mail address to the customer will contain the e-mail address from the custoemr record.
