I use Adagio Evaluations for retainage accounting in AR,AP with JC. I make an invoice entry in AR for 10,000.00 to a customer for a particular Job. A 5% retainage is selected which is 500.00. On posting 9,500.00 and 500.00 are shown separately in AR?s Aging and Retainage reports. The amount 9,500.00 is shown in the transaction but not 500.00. Cash entry for 9,500.00 can be applied to the said invoice. If the customer pays 500.00 I am unable to apply because there is no option available. Appreciate for a way out on this.

You need to invoice the $500. That is done by creating an invoice batch, and selecting as the Document type "Retainage invoice". When you post this invoice, the $500 is moved from Retainage Receivable to Accounts Receivable, and then cash can be applied against it.
