The Financial Reporter remembers which Window Panels are opened and their positions. CTRL+U toggles the Statement Group view on and off. There is no way to open the financial reporter with a "particular" statement group already opened, you must right click on the statement group and select "Open Group". Is it that you want a user to only be able to open a particular Statement Group?

Hello Niko,

Exit the Financial Reporter with the Statement Group View opened. It should be open then next time you launch the reporter.

(What version of the financial reporter are you running? Check Help | About in the financial reporter.)

Are you starting the different G/L's by using desktop shorcuts? If so, are there any differences?

The Views (on/off) and their positions are stored in the Registry and should not be dependent on the dataset you have opened.

Hello Niko,

I can't repeat the behaviour you're seeing, so there's something pretty subtle going on.

You said that it was working fine for one shortcut. As a test, instead of opening with the other shortcut, could you just open the second set of data using "File | Open" in Ledger, then launch the financial reporter. See if the settings "Stick" in the new dataset.

If so, then there's some difference on the command line. Are your user ID and password specified in UPPERCASE in both shortcuts?
