I'd like to print a bunch of financial reporter reports that are period sensitive. I thought I was going to be able to create a report set to do this... well actually I did, but I couldn't find an option to specify the period so it defaults to current.
So are report sets only useful for printing current period financial reports? Or am I missing something...

Right mouse click on the Report Set name and select "Specific Period".

thanks for the quick response! Sadly, no dice... right click on the report set name in the list box give only new/edit/view/etc. a mirror of the buttons on the side, and if I go into edit right clicking does nothing at all... is there something else I need to click to enable it?

In the Financial Reporter, open up the screen where Statement Groups can be edited, and right-click on a name of a statement group. There is an option called Specify Period that can be toggled, so that when that statement group is printed, a screen appears to allow selection of the fiscal year and period.

Report Sets are designed to have no user interface, so if you really need to print the statement group via a report set, the Specify Period screen will not appear. But perhaps you don't really need the report set, and can print it any of the other ways.

The statement groups I selected for the report set are all 'specify period' already but if I'm hearing you right, that feature doesn't extend to report sets?

The reason I'm trying to use report sets is twofold... first, as mentioned in my previous query, I can't specify what printer to use from the GL print financial statement button... regardless of what I specify within the financial reporter it attempts to go to my windows default printer and I have to change printers for each report, and second, I'm trying to get several separate reports so they can be distributed, without having to 'print' each one separately. The report set feature does this, but it appears cannot specify the period.

And within the financial reporter, anything I build as a statement group comes out as a single report so there's apparently no way to 'print' several report groups at the same time.
