A proprietary one. It is ODBC-compliant, with the use of Adagio ODBC (or other tools).

The advantage of this is that Adagio doesn't depend on a separate database layer like MSSQL or Pervasive. And it also adds a level of security to the data.

Hello Peter,

You can read about the Adagio database here in the section on MS SQL compatibility.

Generally, it is irrelevant to the accounting department what database is in use, in the same way that the programming language is beside the point if the source code is not available.

I'm always curious when people ask this question. What prompts the inquiry? Are you looking a closely integrating some application with Adagio? If so, we'd be happy to provide guidance.

customer has an array of databases and was wondering if he would need to integrate your app to an existing database he already paid licensing for.Thanks for the good response. I suspected this answer and will pass it on with confidence.
