The company path and data selector are displayed in the same place when you hover over the company name on the status bar of an Adagio module. All Adagio modules describe every menu choice you are about to make in that space. Perhaps you've never noticed that area of the screen changing?

What would be "intuitive"?

Contact your Reseller - although it doesn't appear that you have any need for it.

Intuitive would be if a bubble popped up.

OK - I've already asked if it could be shown in a Tool Tip as well.

Thanks.

PS - I've also recorded a note to store the Most Recent list with the data, rather than in the Registry, so that it will still appear when the user gets a new workstation. I have to say that I'm surprised that changes to this menu result in a tech support call when a new workstation is installed.

Edit Reason: Added comment about Most Recent List

My reseller charges me a million dollars to do anything. this seems more like a 'warranty' item?
Why do you say I don't appear to need it?

Hot Fixes are issued to fix specific items identified by clients for which there are no reasonable workarounds. They are not rigorously tested, so are not generally available.

They are incorporated into a Service Pack once the list gets long or as part of the normal maintenance for a module.

Steve Schwartz said that the financial reporter only asks about saving GL!Report1 if you actually make a change to it (which I would consider desirable behaviour). If you immediately select File | Open and work on another sheet, then the financial reporter closes GL!Report1 without complaint.

I'm assuming that "a million dollars" is an exaggeration. smile

Hi Andrew

You don't deal with everyday users. I think you would be surprised at a lot of the support calls we consultants get. I shield Softrak from about 99% of them.

It's how you earn your living! Apparently some Resellers can charge a million dollars for the service. wink

Got it... makes some sense, although just so you know... if I open the financial reporter and then do absolutely nothing other than click the X to close it, it still asks if I want to save the changes, so on my unfixed version at least it queries me to answer the question without so much as a carriage return on my part.
