Over the course of years, it turns out we've added some Items using cut and paste from Excel, which adds a hard return to the SKU. So it looks and displays like "123456" but it is really "123456
".

I cannot delete the entry from Item Maintenance. When I go to the item (which requires going to an adjacent one and using arrows to move up to it, find doesn't match) and click on Delete, I get the message "Can't delete item with quantities on hand, on purchase order, or on sales order." even though Item Inquiry > Quantities shows no quantities in any of those.

How can I remove this bugged item?

My guess is that the hard return now incorporated into your item number will prevent any solution that you could try from the data entry screen. You can't access the item by keying the item code as the hard return is causing Adagio to look at the next item number. To know for sure I would need to obtain a copy of your data.

This would leave a database repair as the only other option.
