Is there a way of importing/exporting information into these fields? I tried a regular file export with the optional field selected but it didn't work.

I'm using it in Receivables but I don't think the module makes any difference.

PS Is there a maximum (not character) record length for these fields?

Ok I can export field values using Gridview and then sending it to Excel. Does that mean I can only import by using Gridview-RW?

You can import optional fields into tables where they exist (ie. Customers). Why don't you email me the file that didn't work and I'll take a look?
