I can't understand why the new version of SA is not allowing to see and export sales details from one of your created Online Inquiry Template List. And there is no option anymore to get the sales details exported to excel with the fields you want. This version of SA is awful!!!!

Hi,

Are you referring to the fact that we fixed the bug wherein, if you ExcelDirected the details of an Online Inquiry, rather than just exporting the detail from the results that met the inquiry criteria, SA exported all of the details?

Like other Adagio modules, SA9 utilizes filters. These may be set up using Edit | Filters and then run on the Edit Sales Data grid. Those results can then be exported using Excel Direct if you wish.

There's a short Show Me How video available on our website (http://www.softrak.com/resources/adagiotips.php) that shows you how to use Filters in Adagio. You'll also find videos for Using Styles and many other Adagio features. Scroll through the list of currently available video clips.

Hi flagworld

I'll bet you are launching SA with a user ID that doesn't have the box "Edit SF Export" checked off. Try checking it off (under File | User Setup), and you will see the Excel button reappear.

Please do us a favor and if I'm right, apologize about calling this version awful. Unless you want to tell us what else you think is awful.

Also, this "new" version of SA has been out for almost a year. Have you really been stewing over this defect for that long?

Steve

Thank you for looking into my problem.
I want to export all details from all results not only the one that is highlighted. In the past version the first result wasn't automatically highlighted and therefore you could get all result details.

I need the following sales details for sales in a certain period:
Date/Invoice#/Customer/Amount/Item number/Quantity/SalesPerson/Category/Order#/Cost/ Margin/

But the filter allows me only 8 fields and is adding to the excel file automatically 'Ship to' and 'Loc' even I don't want them. Now I have a big problem. How to get all the fields I need.

The Filter just selects the records you want to see. The Grid Editor is used to select the columns you want when that Filter is chosen. Use the Filter to Select MTD Item Sales, and the column Editor to choose the Fields (Date/Invoice#/Customer/Amount/Item number/Quantity/SalesPerson/Category/Order#/Cost/ Margin) you want to export.

You will see how Filters and the Column Editor work at the upcoming Boot Camp in Vancouver (November 5). If you want more detailed training, there is an Adagio Academy Online scheduled for the week of November 19.

Thank you Andrew, it worked perfectly.
Now I can get what I want and need. And of course I'm apologizing for my first comment. I didn't know about the double click - and I tried to use the right mouse click to change the grid like I'm always using it for other programs.

I think you'll discover a lot of things in Adagio at the Boot Camp. I look forward to seeing you there.
