When you do the new updates for Adagio Purchase Orders will you be adding the option when you enter the PO to have the Text Block like you have in Order Entry?

The very first release of Adagio PurchaseOrders will only support functionality that allows the two versions to run side-by-side. We are doing that to minimize the conversion disruption for our users. Features like Text blocks may have to wait until we are sure that the basic functionality is working properly.

Considering that the equivalent to text blocks already existing in PO for Adagio I hope it's going to make it into the first release of Adagio PO (or at least what currently exists as the equivalent but it might make more sense to go straight to text blocks).

While we're on the subject of Text Blocks, I'm adding something to my product (Rentals for Adagio) that could be implemented in other Adagio products. Add an option next to the 4 lines of text for each item. The option is 'Insert comments on contract'. In your case, it could be a sales or purchase order. When checked, the 4 lines are automatically as comments (or instructions), after the item. This is in addition to Text Blocks.

"Auto-insert text" is already on the list, since it was a feature of our old DOS Rentrak product (as you know!). It was very useful there, for sure.

At the moment, changes to OrderEntry, Inventory, Payables and PurchaseOrders are in abeyance until we can get Adagio PurchaseOrders to a state where people can start using it for real.

The next milestone will be a request to existing users of Purchase Orders for Adagio to send us their Purchase Order Form definitions (and data) so that we can verify that we can create the forms that they need in our own Designer. Adagio PurchaseOrders will be using the same Designer as all the other modules, and the feature set with Purchase Orders for Adagio is different.

Progress is being made in this development, but, as always, development never proceeds as rapidly as desired. Of course, there are Upgrades scheduled for the next few months, including Payables and Inventory with the addition of Report Favorites and Report Sets - things that do not impact the integration across the modules. I'm hoping we'll also see improvements to Time&Billing, SalesCQ and JobCost too.
