I created a file in Financial Report and shortcut on the desktop. But I cannot open the file, please advise what could be done to open up the file on the desktop shortcut.

Financial statements have to be loaded using the Financial Reporter program. And the Financial Reporter program must be loaded from Adagio Ledger or FX, not directly. In order to print your financial statement, you will need to first open either Ledger or FX, whichever program you use for financial statements.
