I've created a new fiscal year 2010 without closing 2009 because there are more entries to be done in Gl for 2009.
When creating batches in A/P and A/R looks like the number of the batch is carry forward from 2009. when the number of batches for 2010 will be changed?

The batch numbers for AR & AP in those modules are reset when year end is run in those modules. The batch number in the general ledger will start at 1 for batches retrieved into the new year.

To reset the AP and AR batch numbers, you'll need to run the Year End functions found in the Maintenance menus of those modules. Each function provides a checklist of what needs to be completed prior to running the year end.

You should definitely create backups beforehand.
