Hi All,

I need to find a way to quickly reference the first day a part was shipped (we are using OE 8.1B and IC 8.1A). I cannot find a field that does this, nor am I able to find a way to do this easily for all our parts (about 3,000).

The only way I can think to do this is to make an optional field and then dump the info into there. I need this field for a custom Crystal Report.

Please let me know if there is an easier way to do this, or if anyone has any ideas.

Hi Cam

If you view the item's transactions, the date of the first invoice (i.e. shipment) would be the date the part was first shipped.

If you need this for a Crystal Report, your idea of creating an optional field is a good one. To dump the info into that field, you don't have to key it in, you can use the import function after creating an Excel file (using Crystal Reports) listing items and the first ship date.
