Help! My GL 9.0 help files work fine, but I can't load help for Financial Reporter. I get the following:

As I say, GL help works fine, but FinRep help has the same error message for all catagories. Any ideas?

Hi Kevin,

The name of the Financial Reporter help file for the Ledger version 90A is LedgerFinRep.CHM. Can you find this file on your local C drive? It needs to be there due to a Microsoft security patch that prevents loading CHM help files from a network drive.

Adagio uses a 'help file path' within your Windows Registry, so that when you choose to access the Help file, Adagio knows where to look on your local drive. Perhaps the main Ledger.chm help file is there, but the Financial Reporter help file is not.

Typically, you would find the help files in C:\softrak\ledger.

Both files appear to be there in c:\softrak\ledger ..... how do I tell Adagio to search there for them?

Hi Kevin,

As mentioned in the earlier post, it's stored in the Windows Registry. To see where this workstation loads Ledger help from, go to:
HKEY_Local_Machine / Software / Softrak Systems / Adagio Ledger
key: HelpDirectory

If the key is the path you indicated, then something else is a problem that we are not aware of. You may want to try re-running the workstation setup for Ledger.

Do other workstations that have access to Adagio Ledger exhibit the same problem?
