Hi All,

Over the years different units of measure have been created for the same measure. For example, for kilograms we have KG, KGS, Kilo, and kg. I would like to consolidate all of these into one, but was worried about implications for BOMS and items etc.

What would be the best way to do this?

Thanks for your time!

Cam

Hi Cam

There is no great way to do this.

What you will need to do when you change the unit of measure is to add the original unit of measure as an alternative unit of measure and make the conversion factor "1".

If you don't preserve the original, you will get all kinds of data corruption, as well as problems with your bills of material.
