I am sorry that this reply does not answer your question, because I prefer not to be the first response when it is not directly on point, since others may then skip the thread, but here goes...
I hate the canned Salesperson Commission Report. It is too limiting, and once you run and clear it you can't reprint it. For all of my clients who do commission tracking, I have created a report in Crystal Reports or Quik Reports using Sales Analysis data (or Order Entry data but it is not my first choice). The report is actually presentable to salespeople, unlike the canned report.
