Hi, Vlad,
Yes, that's my email from back in August, I had you restart the novaPDF server as Dan has suggested and you reported that worked for you at that time.
Pretty sure this is the same site, yes? Something has changed. You were not reporting these OLE errors previously. I believe those are different than what’s been reported by any other site.
Dan replied to your question about reinstalling also but I'll try to now in more detail.
On the w/s experiencing the issue (or the user logged in with the RDP session), go to the Control Panel | Programs and Features on the w/s and, in the Search box type Softland. Ideally on a w/s having both the AdagioPDF and the AdagioV2PDF printers installed, you will see the following (not necessarily in this order):
AdagioPDF (novaPDF 7.4 printer)
Adagio Accounting PDF Printer v8.7.943
nova PDF 8 Printer Driver v8.7.943
novaPDF 8 SDK COM (x64) v8.7.943
novaPDF 8 SDK COM (x86) v8.7.943
Uninstall the last 4 items only (i.e. do not uninstall the AdagioPDF (novaPDF 7.4 printer) which relates to AdagioPDF only).
Then, do a w/s install for this user of the latest release Adagio module that they use. Or, drill down to the x:\Softrak\System\AdagioPDF folder where the Adagio programs are stored on the server and run the AdagioV2PDF.exe using Run as Administrator.
The install should not just 'flash by quickly'. You should see the actual install take place. After, you should see the AdagioV2PDF printer in the list of devices and printers and it should be active (i.e. not greyed out).
Unfortunately, sometimes it is necessary to restart equipment after and uninstall to ensure that, when restarted, it is refreshed and really knows that the uninstall fully took place.
