I have not heard before of not being able to select the checkboxes on the screen you specified in your post. Clicking on the name does not select the checkbox - you have to either click the checkbox itself, or highlight the field(s) and press the space bar to toggle the checkboxes on or off.

If you use the Clear Selection button, this resets the checkboxes to just have the account description selected. Does clicking this resolve the problem?

The field selection during the drag-and-drop process is based on a data file that is the same as choosing to View the Account Data. If you attempt to access the View / Account Data screen, does this appear correct to you or do you receive any error message? If an error occurs then the culprit may be a corrupted Account Data field list data file, which could just be deleted and the Financial Reporter program would re-create it. But that's a bridge to cross later, only if opening View / Account Data gives an error.
