Hi CRR,

Do you mean 'Discount on Base Price' or 'Markup on cost'? There is no option to 'discount on cost' for OrderEntry sales of Inventory items.

If the 'Markup cost' on the Alternate Price List item is 0.00, then the markup pricing structure is based on the Most Recent Cost of the main item. This is if you use the Markup on Cost method on the alternate price lsit items.

A base price is stored on Alternate Price List items, which is what the 'Discount on Base Price' uses. This is completely independant to the item itself. Thus if you edit the Base Price on the item, it will not affect the Alternate Price List item. What you need to do is update the Alternate Price List with the new Base Prices with one of two methods:
- Update Alternate Price List, found on the Edit / Alternate Price Lists menu in Inventory. After the Original base prices have been changed, use this prices to update from the Original Price List and an Amount Increase of 0.00.
- Import alternate Price List items, found on the File / Import menu. You can choose to import just the Price List code, Item code and new Base Price from a 3-column Excel spreadsheet, updating existing records.
