I get this error when trying to eprint posting journals in AR and BankRec. I just updated all modules, so we are current in all versions, including the AP hotfix for 9.3A. I don't have the AdagioV2PDF printer in my devices and printers, just the AdagioPDF one. How do I get that printer?
I also have Adobe Acrobat, so I do have Adobe PDF and I have ABS PDF Driver v400 - is that the V2PDF? Should/Can I just rename that one? I tried running Softrak/system/AdagioPDF/adagioV2pdf.exe, but had no change.
Operating system is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

Hi, Barb,

The AdagioV2PDF printer is the newer driver being installed by more recent Adagio modules. It will be filtering its way through all Adagio modules. Until then, some modules still use the older AdagioPDF driver.

Do any (all) other Adagio users have the AdagioV2PDF installed?

From your workstation, can you drill down to the Softrak\System folder on the server and run GetAdagioWorkstationInfo.exe. From the dropdown, select Adagio Payables (not Adagio Payables legacy if in the list) then the GetInfo button.

Copy the results to the Clipboard and then paste them into this forum posting.

This type of problem is probably best handled by your Adagio consultant rather than on this forum as they have more knowledge of and access to your system. The results of the GetAdagioWork.... utility can be useful information for them also.

I'm the only user on our network having this problem - two others are eprinting in Payables, Receivables and BankRec just fine.

Note 2k8server is our old server - don't know why some things still point to it, but it's been over 6 months and things are running fine with a small exception like this printing issue occasionally.

I'm more familiar with networks, mapping and IT in general than most accounting users, so I try to do things myself as much as I can to save money for our charity. So if there see anything problematic here or any other suggestions please let me know.

Your Adagio consultant would probably need an Adagio system snapshot to troubleshoot the incorrect server references.

Regarding the AdagioV2PDF printer driver, all indications are that it is installed. Perhaps it was accidentally deleted or Windows has played one of its tricks.

In any event, I would look at your Control Panel, Programs and Features and uninstall 'only' the following 4 components. Only these 4, relate to the AdagioV2PDF:

novaPDF 8 Printer Driver Softland
novaPDF 8 SDK COM (x64) Softland
novaPDF 8 SDK COM (x86) Softland
Adagio Accounting PDF Printer Softland

In the Search box in the upper right of the Programs & Features, you can type novaPDF to find the first 3 ('do not' uninstall the PDF 7.4 printer) and then PDF to find the Adagio Accounting PDF Printer.

After they are uninstalled, drill down to the Softrak\System\AdagioPDF folder on the server and run the AdagioV2PDF.exe again. Only run it once. After, check for the existence of the AdagioV2PDF printer on your w/s and, if necessary, in the Control Panel again.

Just to clarify do I only uninstall
NovaPDF 8 Printer Driver

or the 4 Softland ones:
novaPDF (NovaPDF 7.4 printer)
NovaPDF 8 Printer Driver
NovaPDF 8 SDK COM (x64)
NovaPDF 8 SDK COM (x86)


Sorry I didn't see your full post for some reason - will uninstall the 4 you said and not the 7.4 one - I wondered about that.

You also want to ensure you run the AdagioV2PDF.exe as Administrator. I didn't mention this earlier.
