Emailed invoices - 12/11/08 10:16 AM

Hi All,

is there anyway to track what invoices have been emailed? The sent ones leave the queue after a while.

Thanks!

From which application are you emailing invoices from?

Adagio OrderEntry 8.1B keeps track of when an invoice was most recently printed (which could mean printed, faxed or emailed) and by whom and how many times it has been re-sent. But it doesn't store whether the invoice was specifically emailed as opposed to printed or faxed. Is this what you are looking for?

Do you exclusively email invoices, or do you print or fax some? If you only email, then any invoice with a Printed status will have been emailed.

If the desire is to determine if (and when) and invoice has been specifically emailed from OE, we would need to make some change to the program. Would automatically adding a Customer Note with the date and invoice number be sufficient? Adagio Receivables has this option when printing/faxing/emailing statements.

Oh, and the email queue doesn't have anything removed from it unless someone specifically chooses to clear the queue. Records don't automtically expire. If someone is about to clear the email queue, they could print the queue list report (paper or electronic file) to keep a record of the emails.

I think printing the queue before it is cleared is the answer for us.

Thanks!
