AP List by Accounting Date?

Hi,
Is there a way of printing an AP Open Payables list by Accounting date rather than Transaction Date?
I'm trying to prove my year end GL balance for the AP Control Account and there were a couple of invoices dated the next month which I booked into the previous month to get the expense in the right period, but when I pull the Open Payables list it doesn't show those transactions...

Hi Hugh:

You can only run an Aged Open Payables which has the option to print by Transaction Date or Accounting Date. To balance this with the Control Account, you should have Edit Accounting Date enabled in the Company Profile in Payables and have retrieved the transactions in the GL by Subledger Date.

And to add to what Patricia wrote, there is no good reason to run the Open Payables report now that the Aged Open Payables report exists, unless you want to see the discount date on the report. If Softrak had removed the Open Payables report, someone would have complained about the discount date, so they left it there.

Sorry for the delay... I actually managed to take a vacation!

So.... I guess what I really don't know how to do is to toggle between transaction date and accounting date on the report...
Does anyone know where I would make that selection?

edit: I also see that Aged Open Payables is greyed out... so maybe the option is obvious once I enable that report? I'm on 9.3C (220223) so it wouldn't be a release issue I don't think...

Congratulations on the vacation.

if the "Aged Open Payables" report is greyed out, you have to adjust your Security Group so that you have access. And once you do that, you will see the option to toggle between the dates on the report dialogue.
