Wish List Ctl+F

Could we make the F6 search pop up when you hit Ctl+F so it's consistent with Windows? Then you wouldn't have to remember which F key it was and you'd also avoid having to remember to activate the F keys on your keyboard.

Is the request for the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl-F to work in exactly the same way as pressing F6, in all the same places where the F6 key is currently active or not active? Just to clarify what you were hoping to find.

yes, exactly that!
on my keyboard the F keys are dual purpose with things like Print Screen and Insert as well as the Function keys and there is a locking button to select which functionality you're after. So I'm constantly hitting F6 and nothing happens because I've had to turn the F keys off to get one of the other button functions. This would sidestep that keyboard problem, in addition to being more intuitive for users wanting to Find something!
