E-print module

E-print module - 02/23/12 01:44 PM

I was logged in remotely to our server to access Adagio receivables. I accidentally deleted the Adagio PDF printer (prior to this) and could not print. I have re-added the printer and after re-adding it I still cannot print to the Adagio PDF. I re-ran the workstation setup, but still can't print. Just wondering if I need to do a re-install of Adagio E-Print in order for it to reset the printer?

Re-doing the workstation install should have resolved the problem. Is the Adagio PDF driver now installed?

If so then what happens when you try to print? Error message?

Okay This problem is on a terminal server we did try the work station re-install of the adagio suit
followed by the eprint module and it still no longer functions when we press the eprint button we get the following error:

as for the works station install it doesn't seemed to have worked though
if you look at ad-remove programs it looks like we have duplicates.

I'm not sure if this is anything to worry about or even related to this issue as that screen shot
was taken before the work station install and it looks exactly the same after the work station install.

Does the printer "AdagioPDF" show up in the Windows list of available printers?

No it does not.
But if another user logs onto the terminal server it auto maps the printer for them.
Just Jen has this problem.

Re: E-print module - 02/28/12 09:40 AM

Does Jen have rights to install new printer drivers? Essentially, AdagioPDF is just another printer driver. And even though Add Remove programs shows something, the fact that looking at the list of available printers does not have AdagioPDF means that the setup was not successful.

It is possible to set up just the AdagioPDF driver from the \softrak\system\AdagioPDF folder and running the AdagioPDF.exe program, though it is more desirable to run as part of the workstation setup as mentioned earlier (nothing additional happens when running just the AdagioPDF.exe).

Re: E-print module - 02/28/12 11:44 AM

We did have the user setup as an administrator for the work station re-install.

I can give the rights for an attempt this solution and provide feed back. We will attempt this fix.

Thank you for the help.
