EDI Outsourcing - 04/12/11 08:13 AM

We have a very large customer who requires that we retrieve their orders using an EDI outsource company. We tried Commport but have has some problems retrieving and processing the orders. We don't really need to use EDI from our end since it's easy enough for us to just enter the orders once we get them. However, since our customer mandates it, we have to figure out how to get their orders. Does anyone have any experience with this? Anyone recommend an EDI outsourcing company in Canada that we can use?

We have a large client in Toronto using Lenmax's solution integrated to Adagio with excellent results.

If you speak with Vlad, he can likely get something scaled for just what you need.

My client has had good success with SPS Commerce. SPS does all the setup/processing and provide a web interface for printing orders and invoicing. If the volume is light, you could enter the orders into Order Entry. In my case, SPS provided remote access to the EDI files. I wrote a utility to automate the process from SPS to my Order Entry package. I'm also preparing a solution for my client to send/receive files directly with Overwaitea. There are substantial savings when you cut out the EDI company.

I've quoted a solution for Adagio, but that's pending.

The other way to go is EdiSoft. They've provided an Adagio EDI solution for years.

I understand that you'll be at this year's AOC. I'll be around, if you'd like to discuss your requirements.
