Email Covers

Email Covers - 09/17/19 08:15 AM

A client wants to know if there is a way to add a signature to email covers.

"The emails are very ‘plain’ and some customers are afraid to open them for fear they could be spam or malware."

Please don't mention PrintBoss as a solution. This is not a problem looking for a $1,000 solution.

Thanks

The Adagio email covers are sent as plain text, not HTML or RTF. Unfortunately, this means that little to no formatting is available. Your customer should know that it is not possible to send malware through plain text emails (links are another issue). Their best bet is to guarantee to their customers that the emails will come from a specific email address and perhaps contain some constant text in the subject.

When we were last working on the cover sheets, we had trouble getting HTML to work reliably.

The suggestion is on file to revisit this at some point.

Steve:

We use a plain text signature in Adagio's email covers. Seems to be enough as signatures don't have to have graphics or hyperlinks in them to be valid.

Unfortunately spam and malware is getting in the way of a great communication tool.

Thanks for the replies. Upon further investigation, it turns out that my client wasn't aware that the staff was leaving the email cover field blank, so not only was their no cover, but also no subject. They are happy now.
