Since we are discussing importing bank statements...Does anyone know if RBC has the OFX option by now? or how are you uploading statements for RBC?

Hi Eva,

I'm not sure if RBC has the OFX option yet, but we have clients exporting a text file from RBC/RBC Express and importing it as a CSV into BankRec. We are using the CSV option since it still allows the client to use the import statement option from within the reconciliation window. While you can setup a template with an excel file format, you have to go to File|Import|Bank Statements to do the imports.

Eva/Lauren:
RBC Express has the OFX option. I have two clients who use it and I have logged in with them and seen it myself.
RBC also has it as an option in the regular business banking as well.

Hi Eva,
RBC has 2 types of account services. RBC Express and the other as Dan has suggested.

OFX version normally is the same as downloading as Quickbooks or Sage 50. If you don't see OFX, choose the quickbooks version.

RBC used to have an issue with the CSV versions but you can make work with the OFX.

Best,
Brian
