I use document filters in PO's. Until recently the documents would automatically change style bases on the criteria I created in document filters. Now all the documents default to pastel green which is not set up as a filter. The documents will not change style until I manually apply all the document filters over again. I cannot figure out why everything is defaulting to pastel green and ignoring all the filters I created.

Hello Clint,

You didn't say which version of PurchaseOrders you are using. I am going to guess that it is the 93A version.

If it is, check your User Preferences from the File menu. If you have the option to 'Ignore style properties' selected, uncheck it. When it is selected, the setting for Band Grids may be causing the pastel green to appear.

If you do not have this option selected, check the Grid Filters list. Sort it by Priority and make sure that there isn't a filter with really low display priority that is taking precedence over the filters you normally use.

Thanks for the response

I am using 93A, however 'ignore style properties' was already unchecked, and when I look at the grid filters there is no filter with a style of pastel green.

Hi, Clint,

When you click/select the Ignore Style Colors button in the 3-button toolbar to the right of the Filter box, does the grid present itself differently?

If not, now might be a good opportunity to contact your Adagio consultant/dealer. They will be able to review your data and settings.

Hi Clint

A number of my clients have experienced similar issues with PO document filters. They know to run Data Integrity Check on PO and then click on Rebuild, and repeat until there are no errors.

Make a backup first, and make sure everyone is out of Adagio.

Let me know if that solves this issue.

Steve

Hi Clint,

Indeed check the data integrity as Steve suggested.

Also make sure that there aren't any Private filters that might have been created that have a higher style priority than the public ones you see. It may be that the pastel green color is coming from a Private filter unexpectedly.

In order to see all the Private filters, you would have to log into the PurchaseOrders database as the SYS user. Then open the Document Filters list, and for Show Filters - choose All. You may want to sort by Priority to assist in clarifying which filter has the highest.

A client had this issue today with PO 9.3B. When I did as suggested above and logged in as SYS, I was able to see a filter that was created as private but the user id entered did not exist. Even as SYS, I was not able to delete it. I even tried creating the user id and then going back in and attempting to delete as SYS and also tried logging in as the new user id and deleting it there. No error message or anything. The delete just didn't remove it.

Hi Dan

Use GridView RW on the P/O Filter Master table.

I realize this is just a workaround but it's better than nothing.
