A client would like to have a subtotal after a group of items (which I can split by style) in their invoice. Is there a way to put a subtotal line (for each style code) in the middle of an invoice, after the group of items, as a stand-alone line?

Yes, that's what spec codes E201 to E226 do, for style codes A thru Z.
