We print Labels out of OrderEntry 9.2A with the invoice number as a barcode (Code39AzaleaRegular2). Label #2 always prints the barcode incorrectly (it is too long) and will not scan. If I print 100 labels, 99 will be correct and the second label out of the printer is always incorrect.

Any suggestions?
Doug

Hi Doug,

I tried using this font on the Invoice number field, when print previewing labels in sample data, using OrderEntry 9.3A and 12 character document numbers. I modified the sample 'Label 5x laser' spec. I did not see any discernible difference visually in the second label, or the second page of labels, when I previewed more than one invoice label. To be fair, I am not attempting to scan the code, so my visual inspection is less than rigorous.

Do you print one label per page, or more? Does the same problem happen if a different printer driver is used?

The barcodes on invoices seem to print ok. It doesn't have to be the invoice number, I tried changing customer name to a barcode and it does the same thing on the second label. It does this regardless if I print to the zebra label printer, Xerox laser, or pdf. You can tell by looking at it on the print preview screen as well. The incorrect barcode is noticeably longer that the correct one (no scanner required to see). We print 1 label per page. I'm assuming by printing to different printers that the driver is not the problem. I have also tried 3 different Code39Azalea barcode fonts. Here is a link to my sample.

Hi Doug,

Thank you for the image. Indeed I can see that the second label has a longer UPC than the others. I presume that this value in fact has the same number of characters as the other invoices. Just to ask the question.

My test was to post an invoice with 10 digits in the document number, set 3 labels to print, then printed with the sample spec 'Label 5x Laser' with the Invoice number formatted using the bar code font. This spec is set to print 5 labels per page. I don't see a difference in the width of the UPC on the second label.

Same thing if I chose the sample 'Label Tec printer' spec, which is 1 label per page. All UPC codes are the same length.

You'll probably need to get your Adagio consultant involved, as this scenario appears to be more than what could be handled on the forum.
