Hi Doug,

I don't think that you can argue on one hand for posting concurrently in Ledger when the batch is posted in Payables and discuss changes that would facilitate a process that has been "inherited over the years". Concurrent posting in Ledger requires "teaching" every module how to post in Ledger. It means that posting a batch in Payables will need exclusive access to the GL to post. If the posting fails in Payables, you corrupt the GL at the same time. There are significant benefits to the separation of the modules.

In "that old module", where the process was probably developed, all transactions were retrieved into a single batch, so you had to pick them up right away. In Adagio you can retrieve either by posting sequence or by batch - which means that you can have a batch in Ledger that ties directly to the batch in the subledger.
