All my Adagio modules were updated yesterday and now my payables clerk has noticed in Adagio Payables 9.2B(170130) our 6 character Tax Code is now being cut short, when reports are printed - Current Invoice Batches Listing + Cheque Batches Listing

I believe the report is built on Crystal Reports and the text box is being suppressed to the exact size of the box which is not accommodating my 6 character code.

Can I have this addressed and if possible have fix applied as soon as possible.

Hi Dwaine,

Can I confirm by 'Tax Code', you mean the distribution code for a tax distribution? Just so we are talking about the same information. If this isn't right, please indicate the column title label for the field on the Invoice Batch Listing / Manual Check Batch Listing reports that has the issue.

What is the code that doesn't fit? Is it six characters in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS? When looking at the report with Crystal Reports, the field object width is wide enough to accommodate six capital X characters, so in order to get cut off, your code is wider than this. And there isn't any space to make this or any other field on that row wider, as all field objects have no extra space in between.

To fix this, you can get your Adagio Consultant to assist in Modifying the Crystal Report, with the most like change to make the font size of the distribution code smaller, to accommodate 6-character text codes with wider capital letters.

In doing a little more testing.
The preview of the report is fine; if I print to PDF its fine also but if I print directly to the printer the report has missing information <tax distribution code>.

Hi Dwaine,

Printing to PDF uses a particular special printer driver, different than your physical printer. This is the only possible reason I can think of for a particular field to be cut off when printing one way but not another way. I don't know that we can do anything if this is in fact the cause of this scenario.

Please indicate the code name so we know what text we are talking about. TAXINC or TAXDST or whatever it is.

The text I am referring to is the "Tax Distributions Code" that is printed on the listings.

Hi Dwaine,

Nowhere on the standard Invoice or Manual Check batch listing reports is there a label titled specifically 'Tax Distributions code'. Do you know if your Adagio consultant has modified these reports for you? If so, you will have a folder \Softrak\Payables\ModifiedReports with some Crystal file reports with RPT file extensions. Should this be the case, then you must contact your Adagio consultant as they are responsible for modified reports.

There is a column 'Tx Cd' for tax code, but this is a single digit number rather than a 6 character text code. The only 6 character code on the purchase distribution detail row is the 'Dist' column, which can be found between the label 'Pur' and the GL account. It is this code that I have been referring to in prior responses.
