I know in Payables there is a button to export the customer transactions into an excel spreadsheet. Is there a way to do this in AR with customer statements or am I missing it?

There is an ExcelDirect button on the AR Customer Transaction tab in Receivables.

Might I ask why you are trying to get a customer's statement into Excel? If you are emailing them their statement, you can do that directly from the Customer Inquiry function (the statement is emailed as a PDF).

I had sent their monthly statement (PDF) to them, outstanding transactions only, as of April 1st and they just asked if I could send it to them in excel format and/or text file, which I am not familiar with in Receivables

Hi Karre,

When printing Statements, you can choose File as the destination type at the bottom of the screen, instead of Printer. Then you can select either Text or Rich Text as the output type. Excel is not supported.

Karre,

If they want it in Excel just do as Andrew suggests and go to the transaction tab in customer inquiry and click the excel direct button. The filters are automatically on the excel sheet. Just filter out the transactions without a "Current Amt". Copy and paste into a new spreadsheet.

And then tell them there's an extra charge for your admin work. wink

Regards,

Dan.
