A couple of days ago some of our users starting getting this error when sending an email in OE:

OEWIN.EXE - System Error

The program can't start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.

It also occurred for one user in PO although that has resolved itself, however the problem in OE remains.

Any idea what's causing this or how to fix it?

I should have also mentioned that after clicking okay on the error twice, then the email sends successfully.

Sorry one more thing to note. I confirmed that we do have the file:

MSVCR110.dll located in Softrak\system and also in Softrak\system\WIN32.

Hi Susan,

This was first reported to us yesterday on a different forum thread, and the problem is related to the missing file missing on the workstation. The desired resolution will be to run the PO workstation setup on all workstations that email from Adagio in order to copy the correct 32-bit or-64-bit version of this file to the correct location, but as you can see from this thread, we are still investigating whether this is doing what it should.

Update - The problem solved all except for 1 workstation. We installed the PO workstation setup on all, but the error continues on this 1 workstation. Is there something else I can try to solve this?

This workstation is still complaining about the missing file when you try to email, or it's just not sending emails properly?

Yes, the workstation is still complaining about the missing file when we try to email, however the email does go through successfully.

Hi, Susan,

Is the problem workstation able to email if their Email Setup is MAPI?

Can you verify the OS of the workstation? For example, is it Win7 Pro/Home 32-bit or 64-bit, Win8, 8.1, XP SP3 or?

Hi Softrak Support,

We tested the problem workstation with MAPI and it gives the same error.

We are using Windows 7 Pro 64 workstations. Also the same operating systems and computer at 15 other workstations that are not having issues.
