We have been using Paymate Platinum and they have discontinued that upgrading us to Paymate Clarity. The money is almost twice what we had been paying. Before making this change we want to see if there is another payroll system that people using Adagio are happy with. Any suggestions?

Sammy:
You're not alone in your disappointment with the strategy about Platinum.

There are inexpensive products that will send a batch the Adagio GL. Easypay and Paymate Acclaim are 2 examples.

However, as a Platinum user, you likely have some advanced requirements. In that case the easy recommendation is PayDirt from QLab Systems PayDirt web-site. Both the software itself and the support from the developer are top-notch. While it works with other accounting packages, it was originally designed to integrate deeply with Adagio. There are 4 YouTube videos available so you can see how logical it is to use.

I've never met anyone with a negative comment about PayDirt. I suggest speaking with your dealer to find out specifics.

Hi Sammy

Many of my clients were bumped from Platinum to Clarity. One of them was able to get a break this year on the renewal price - getting the Aatrix portion ($275) for free. If you haven't renewed already, it's worth asking.

Thank you all for your replies. I will diffently look into all the suggestions and make our decision. I love this forum for exactly this purpose. Hearing from other users is very helpful.

And one of the best features of Paydirt, is that you can convert on the fly from just about any payroll solution. Using Monarch or data exports into XLS files, your employee data can be imported and loaded into Paydirt.

A premium and most superior payroll product for Canadian Payroll.

Best,
Brian

Sammy:

PayDirt includes a conversion from Platinum. We have converted several of our clients from Platinum to PayDirt using this conversion, including ROE data.
