I have imported a batch into the ledger. All seems to be great, no errors on the listing but when I post it, the message comes up that it has been posted and errors have added to a new batch. The new batch is the entire batch I tried to post. I have no idea what the issue is, all seems to be fine with the batch but it will not post. Any suggestions for what could be wrong?

There will be an error code on the error posting journal. Perhaps the period is closed?

Or do a batch listing of the error batch and see what it's complaining about.

There is no error listed so I have no idea what the problem is. The period is not closed. The dates all look good. Neither the original listing nor the error batch listing show any errors.

I uploaded a pdf of the error listing. When I go to backup, it says it can't lock the data set exclusively. Is that ok?

Perhaps - it depends what files in Ledger it is unable to backup. The backup must be complete. There's no harm in trying.

You've already said that the error listing does not indicate any errors.

What version of Ledger are you using (Help | About)?

This batch does not pass the Data Integrity Check (File | Data Integrity Check). Run the DIC and Rebuild the batch totals (they are off by 2 cents).

If you can send me the batch you imported, I'll have someone look at why the batch total is incorrect on the import and why this wasn't caught in the batch listing - which should have reported the error.

The error was in the rounding from the origibally imnported spreadsheet. Let DIC fix it, and the batch now posts without error.

The CSV batch imports without any error here. You might want to check the version of Ledger they are running.
