Hello,
I attempted to modify one of our invoice specifications for printing sales invoices. Obviously did something wrong, as I am getting a message that says"The style code A is not defined in the active spec file" every time I try and print our USA invoice. I thought that we only used style A for all of our invoices (we have several) as that is the default. How do I correct this? Need help urgently as cannot process any US invoices. Thank you.

It's hard to describe what to do without actually seeing the file. Your Adagio consultant would be able to help correct it.

But a quick and inexpensive solution is to restore the Invoice spec file from before you made changes. To determine the name, open the Invoice Designer and then click on the "Open" button. The selection box will show both the name you have given it and the actual filename beginning with "QI$". Restore that file and just that file. You must be careful when restoring to not restore the other files or you will have to redo your work. If you aren't 100% comfortable with restoring, you should not proceed.

Those spec can be a bit tricky to modify. Usually your dealer/consultant can help.

I'd recommend that open one of those sample invoice specs. You should find a detail section called, 'Detail line A'. Do you have the same on your spec? If not, set the properties of your detail section (right mouse click) and set the detail line to A.
