I am using the current version of G/L. Entered a batch, went to print it, and first of all it comes up everytime with "initiallizing printer" which it never did before. That is not the main issue though. If I check the box for g/l summary, some of the account numbers are missing in the summary and also quite a few of the entries are missing also. If I print without the g/l summary the batch totals are correct. I also cannot access some of the items under File, maintenance etc. Some functions are greyed out. I haven't actually printed the batch, only previewed it. Anyone else having these issues? Thanks

Hi Deb,

For the menu items that are 'greyed out' and inaccessible, security access may not have been granted. Check that the appropriate functions have been given Security Group access - by default, all new options are not accessible until they are set up.

As for the GL Batch Listing, what other options are selected for the report? Are there any errors such as closed fiscal periods or inactive accounts? Does the data pass an integrity check?

We are aware of a problem with the 'error count' at the end of the report, but nothing else. Check that the report tables are correctly installed using the System Status option under the Help menu. Also try a different printer driver.

Hello, I realized after sending my email that I needed to correct the greyed out areas... I did an integrity check on the G/L and I rec'd message stating - Application Integrity skipped due to errors in File Integrity. It was one error G/L Source Journal Information. Do I now go back and just click on the rebuild option? Also,I tried to edit the G/L source journal, but cannot. I did the system status check as you said, and everything seems fine there. As for the summary listing on the G/L batch, it is fine. Won't go into details but it was an error on my part. Apologies for that. However, I also cannot see the pdf print option. I thought this feature was included in the latest upgrade for G/L, but when I looked at the help feature, said I had to purchase another module? The printer initiallizing message comes up for a longer period of time than usual, do I still need to change printer drivers? Thanks for all your help and again apologies regarding the G/L summary listing issue.

Hi Deb,

If integrity errors are found, you can first make a Backup of your Ledger data, then attempt to Rebuild. If you are unsure about doing this step yourself, you could contact your Adagio consultant to assist.

With this release of Adagio Ledger 9.0D, you can pick the AdagioPDF driver from the printer selection list. Part of new Adagio installs will be putting this driver onto your workstation. Here are links to access the New release video or New release webinar for Ledger 9.0D for more information on how to do this. With the upcoming release of Adagio ePrint, the process to print to PDF will be more automated.

I don't have any recomendations as to why you are receiving an initialization message for the printer, or why it might be appearing longer than you are used to. I suggested trying a different driver just to see if the same message appears - and perhaps something on the driver itself is causing the message.
