Unbelievable! Until we find the solution, we waste so much time and effort (and expense as well, getting network specialists into the office to review the system and troubleshoot).
Here is the resolution:
We are running on a network with the f: drive mapped for our Adagio files. We originally copied the “.dot” file to the f: drive, under the f:\SOFTRAK\ACWIN directory. Just today, we copied the “.dot” file to the local machine as well, into c: \SOFTRAK\ACWIN.
End of problem! The emails now generate about 1 or 2 per second now, instead of one every 30-50/seconds.
(When I look back at the Help Documentation, it tells us to copy the Word file to c:\SOFTRAK\ACWIN. I just assumed that this was for the instance where the user is working on a local computer. While on a network, copy the Word file to the network drive, so that all users have access to the application. This apparently is not the case!)
Oh well
