Hi Carol

Yes - we have heard of successful Adagio installs and use on both Terminal Server/Services and Citrix. Although I can't really be of much assistance on the actual setup and installation procedure for TS - here's what we have learned about installation of Adagio in this type of environment (it has more to do with the Crystal part of Adagio - i.e. the printing of reports and such)...

Basically, you would use the exact same procedure for installing Adagio as you would on any NT or Windows 2000 network:

NOTE: User rights and priveledges are extremely important in these environments! Take the time to grant all the actual Users of Adagio FULL ADMIN RIGHTS prior to the installation and workstation setup! (You can always change their rights back afterwards if required.) It is no longer enough to just log into the network as ADMIN!

This first part is done when logged into the normal network server - if this server also acts as the TS server - so be it, the important thing here is that a regular workstation setup must be performed on the User's actual local drive, in order to properly install all the necessary files.

1. Install Adagio to the Server from one of the stations as normal (logged in as the actual User who has been granted Full Admin rights).
2. Go to the next station and again, log on as this station's User (with full admin rights), and perform the ALLWKST.exe (as outlined in the Adagio Fundamentals Guide) to complete the workstation install on this station.
3. Repeat step 2 on all stations that need to run Adagio, then before proceeding, test the printing of reports from these stations to ensure this works properly.

(The ALLWKST.exe must be performed to ensure the successful printing of all reports from Adagio.)

Now, the TS part...
(This information is posted elsewhere on this forum, as well as on the PlusCommunity Forum.)

After completing the above steps, you must now COPY the Crystal folder from each User's local drive to the User's 'virtual' path on the TS Server. The reason for this is because Crystal needs to create it's own folder under the local C:\Windows directory. Since each User has their own folder on a TS Server, this will be impossible, thus the need to copy it from their local workstation.

This information is also posted on Seagate 's website. Although it pertains to Crystal Info, the issue is the same.

There may be other files you need to copy over from the local workstation's as well, if they are not already present on the TS:

?P2QRTSSI.DLL? This file needs to be in the User?s Windows\System directory
?REGSSI32.DLL" Needs to be in the User?s Windows\System directory
?CRPE32.DLL" Needs to be in the User?s Windows\System or System32 directory

Here is the url to the post on PlusCommunity about this.
